The Course Experience

Everyone will have a 1-2-1 Oboe or Cor Anglais lesson with Alison, chamber music coaching, Ensemble and chamber music performance, masterclasses, reed making skills, technique discussions, and work with resident pianist Claudio Chaiquin for a farewell soiree to share our music together. In addition there will be rhythm workshops with percussionist Richard Benjafield,  visits to Piégut-Pluviers market and the Farmers' Night market at the medieval town of Ségur-le-Château.

The programme for the ensemble concert on the 20th August, takes its inspiration from the clear skies at night over Champagnac-la-Rivière. The concert program will range from solos, small chamber works and large ensembles. An enthusiastic audience will be ready to celebrate your work.

Keen local astronomer Peter McGivern will give a talk about the constellations to us more insight. Richard and Alison will give a duo recital on the 18th August which you are invited to attend, and we have two young professional musicians on hand to assist. The course is limited to 12 participants to ensure everyone's needs are catered for.
